NAME: Grassshadow
RANK: Medicine Cat
AGE: 14 moons
GENDER: Female
APPEARANCE: A dark bronze she-cat with distant green eyes and a white-tipped tail. Born in late autumn, when all the grass was covered with fallen leaves, and what was showing was brown, hence earning her the name Grass-.
PERSONALITY: A crisp tone is signature to her, listening only to the ailments of the patient and to her mentor for the advice she needed, as an apprentice and looking up to StarClan now. However, she is very flexible, always accommodating for this and that, changing plans, switching herbs, always prepared for the situation to shift. She can be very emotional, whatever context you put that into. Determined to save, sad that she couldn't help, glad that she managed to solve the problem. In those ways she is rather kit-like. However, being a medicine cat, she shares a close bond with StarClan. She is deadly serious about her work, and about the messages she recieves. Has always been a bit distant and cryptic.
HISTORY: As a kit, Grasskit was rather sullen and distant. She wasn't very talkative, and was always lost in daydreams, but never showed any signs of shyness. At most, she was cryptic at times, looking up and speaking like a full-grown cat, musing about names and color. The medicine cat observed her closely. She was without an apprentice and she looked with disdain upon the kits play-fighting on the ground, but looked in thought upon the kit thinking in the sky. When she was six moons old, the medicine cat interrupted her apprentice ceremony asking if she wished to follow in the path of a medicine cat. Grasskit responded saying that one bound to the ground in name would always look up to the stars, and perhaps the stars would come down to visit her on this path. She nodded.
Grasspaw listened closely to her mentor, learning herbs and blends by heart, answering the quizzing she was given, and treating the patients she was entrusted with. On the journey to share tongues with StarClan, her mentor gave her the name she would forever use from that point on: Grassshadow. Grassshadow was still an apprentice however, and would be until her mentor died. And it seemed as though that would happen soon. Her mentor was forgetful, feeble, and came down with a bad case of greencough. She entrusted herself to Grassshadow. And although she tried, Grassshadow was horrified to see her patient go to StarClan's ranks. As she sat vigil, Grassshadow felt her mentor's presence and whispered in her head; "How can one bound in name to the ground ever truly meet one bound in Clan to the stars? How can you walk with me on this path?"
Grassshadow knew she had to keep herself composed. She worked with a ferocity no cat had ever seen from her. Now she listens to the whispers of a cat bound in Clan to the stars, as she looks around for a kit who she sees herself in, a kit who dreams and thinks in the sky.
OTHER: Oh, how I love making cryptic cats. I had a lot of fun with this one's history, and for those of you who know me from AWRP, you know that Nightpaw is my cryptic one there. Hehehee... Anyway, on to the real other-y stuff. She's no good at swimming or fighting, but decent at hunting, and extremely skilled in memory.
